A big Husky thank you to Andy Bachman and Bachman's Welding for a generous donation to the School and City!
The Senior Athlete’s sports banners the City installs on its decorative light poles were short on brackets this year as the number of senior athletes exceeded the number of poles used in the past.
The City was having a hard time finding the brackets needed to put up the additional banners.
Bachman’s Welding did an incredible job in making the brackets needed and the Department of Public Works was able to install all the banners today.
Thank you Mr. Bachman’s for the generous donation to the community and helping us showcase our Senior Athlete’s! 💚🐾

Today, students are receiving training with our new SmartBoot Security System! Hartford Public Schools along with our School Board, are proud to take extra measures to ensure the safety and security of our students and staff!
This is a multifaceted approach to safety that includes procedures we can utilize daily as well as in the event of a threat. Through close collaboration with our local first responders, we have implemented several products, as well as continued full training for our students and staff. The SmartBoot System is comprised of an interior door barrier device that helps us to create safe spaces in classrooms and offices. It has capabilities to notify our entire district of a lockdown and connect directly with first responders.

Another tradition we are celebrating this year is the Staff members of the week from the football program! The varsity football team picked Angie Glover (Food Services Director) and Randy Slone (Day Custodian) as the staff members of the week. Players said they appreciate the support these two show the program on a daily basis! They appreciate all the food Mrs. Glover provides on a daily basis! Their favorite is bosco sticks and they appreciate the ala carte choices at lunch time. Players have said they appreciate the way Mr. Slone greets them everyday when they come into school. They also noticed how the high school seemed to “sparkle” at the beginning of the year.
Thanks again Randy Slone and Angie Glover for all the support you provide the players, students, and staff at Hartford High School! Go Huskies!
¡Vaya perros esquimales!
