As the school year gets underway, here are a few important reminders for Michigan drivers:

• Stop at least 20 feet from a school bus when its red lights are flashing.
• Never pass a stopped school bus with flashing red lights.
• Slow down and watch for reduced speed limits in school zones before and after school.
• Remember that many school buses are equipped with stop-arm cameras.
