Students of the Week (11/08/24):
9th Victor Hernandez, nominated by Mr. Paran- Victor always helping to put equipment away at end of class. Thank you for the help Victor!
10th Javier Frias, nominated by Ms. Macias-Javier does a great job in English 10. He is always willing to participate with thoughtful responses. Not only does he do a great job in the classroom, he works hard at football, too. He is kind and has a smile on his face. Ms. Macias appreciates you and your effort in class.
11th Katlina Wadlington, nominated by Ms.Manning- Lena did a phenomenal job during the junior class mum sale selling 96 mums!! She was an invaluable asset when they were delivered, helping with sorting and organizing. Thank you Lena!
12th Jasmine Bennett, nominated by Ms. Braddock - Jasmine has been a true help over the past few weeks. She is always the first to volunteer her time and efforts to JMG's Career Association and our C.A.R.E. club. She assisted in creating recruitment posters for CARE, and even helped me make our informational slide show. She makes it a point to be at every meeting, she is a leader in our class, and most recently, sensing I was strapped for time and overwhelmed, volunteered to help me organize my classroom before parent teacher conferences. She always has a stellar attitude, and I appreciate all she does and has done over our years in JMG. Thanks Jae!

Hartford High School will be hosting a “Stuff the Bus” Food Drive competition between grade levels. The event will take place on Thursday, November 14th from 8:30-1:15 PM at Harding’s Friendly Market. Classes will be collecting cans during different time slots for the competition. The class that collects the most cans wins!
Students can bring in cans throughout the week and drop them off in a designated classroom or they can bring them the day of the event. Student Council members from each class will be working their shift at Hardings, so if community members want to bring food, we will be there to collect it. Be sure to drop it off at the correct time if you are supporting a specific grade level. All food will be donated to the local food pantry.
Here are the donation times for the classes.
Freshmen: 8:30-9:30 AM
Seniors: 9:30-10:30 AM
Sophomores: 10:30-11:30 AM

Las clases recolectarán latas a diferentes horas para la competencia. ¡La clase que recolecta más latas ganará!
Los estudiantes pueden traer latas durante la semana y dejarlas en un aula designada o pueden traerlas el día del evento.
