On February 26th for the JV/Varsity Girls Basketball games, we are partnering with the Van Buren Department of Health and Human Services to raise awareness for foster children. Entry for the game will be free, but we will be accepting donations for the VB DHHS to help foster children and recruitment efforts for more foster families in the county. Let's 'Raise Hope & Foster Dreams!'

Wednesday February 11, is the Spring 2026 School Count Day for the state of Michigan. Count Day is when all public schools in Michigan tally the number of students attending their schools.
School attendance is important every day, but attendance on Count Day determines school funding and state resources. Count information is critical to districts, because each student translates into state funding.
The count days and school funding are mandated through the State School Aid Act.
The count dates are first Wednesday in October and the second Wednesday in February. From messages to educators, to events, to lunch menus, and more - everything can now live in one place. Why Rooms? ● One place for every message. No more juggling multiple communication apps, flipping between inboxes, or remembering different logins. ● Text notifications. You’ll get notified automatically of new messages even if you haven’t downloaded our district app. ● Safe and secure. Built-in moderation and other safety tools allow us to ensure safety of all communications, at all times. ● Rooms will take place of Class Dojo and Remind 101. What to Expect: ● Rooms will become our primary method for all communication between staff, coaches, families, and teachers. ● Rooms will be live and ready for messaging with educators on February 18, 2026. ● Parents/Guardians will receive an email invitation to their student’s room(s) by February 19, 2026.
